Aeon proposes 100 units, 1 level underground parking, bike storage. Only 28 units at market rate, rest below market.

From the images it looks like it’s being built such that it won’t block off a future reconnection of 3rd Ave to the grid. It’s being squeezed on some of the old rail diagonal that's used as parking today.

Weird location, but love that the parking lots are getting developed! I do really like the design, it's going to fit in really well with the adjacent old buildings. Do we know if the other weird angled lot next to it (behind Periscope's lot and moving toward Valspar) is also poised for development? I thought I read something about the city trying to sell it.

I didn't expect that lot to get developed on it's own, but good for Aeon!

Pretty cool that it doesn't take out either of the Dome Souvenirs Plus/baseball museum buildings. I didn't really expect them to survive that angled lot being redeveloped.

Now that the stub of Norm McGrew Place will have buildings lining it, maybe it's time for the city to buy that parking lot off of Stonebridge and reconnect 9th Ave?

Without seeing a site plan, it's hard to say for sure, but it seems like this is going to obliterate the historic rail corridor through here. Bummer.

Wait, now we need to keep empty spaces empty to preserve the history of when they weren't empty?? That's insane.

"L6 - Gold Streetcar
ROW built to LRT spec on campus connector segment

Trains could possibly through-route west of Stadium Village station on Green Line, turning around at a pocket track west of West Bank station or continuing onwards to Washington Ave streetcar alignment by way of a two block connector on the old MILW ROW

Potential extension would create a loop through the North Loop... Washington Ave to 8th or 10th Ave N, to Royalston to 10th Street S to Nicollet Mall

Current plans show the L7 taking this loop, with this L6 ending at Royalston Station"

The city should consider purchasing the western most portion of this. If they did they could use that land to turn the Hiawatha Bike Trail north towards Washington Avenue and better dump bike commuters onto Washington Avenue and South 2nd Street.
