According to this article, the developer plans on breaking ground in October. Anyone know if that timeline still accurate? The article was published in the Star Tribune May 2018.

I think this is starting. I saw some jersey barriers up around the site.

I like it, plus now within 10-15 years I hope that diner gets developed into a 10-20 floor building. Sure having the old brick building would be nice to build just above it but I know thats not how things work. We sure are filling in a lot of parking lots and low level blah buildings. Im referring to the empty "parking lot" that was on Lasalle.

Has the retail space of this building (or the development a block down) been leased yet? It will be interesting to see what ends up in those locations.

I may be in the minority, but I really like the 1 story old school building at the corner instead of a 15-20 story building. Would be better with taller mid block buildings.

FINALLY, that little empty lot is filled. There hasn't been anything new on that side of LaSalle in decades....its refreshing!

I was at Lakes and Legends last week and this building really changes the feel of the neighborhood. The lack of traffic also changed the feel, it was more welcoming. What's neat is that along with the Steven Square area nearby and the infill there we're getting a nice transition from single family-ish homes to downtown. I like having non-luxury housing like this near downtown it brings more life to the downtown and nearby areas.
