Where does the new skyway go/ which one are they replacing?
It looks like it's a new one that would connect to Ramp A (http://minneapolismn.gov/www/groups/pub ... 171830.pdf):

"A third skyway, from the southwest, is under consideration as part of the design that will connect skyway patrons directly to the suite level and the concourses of the arena."

"New skyway connection to parking ramp A [being bid as an alternate]"

To be sure, I wasn't equating Taylor's failure as an owner solely to his lack of spending. I'm saying that as a whole, the Timberwolves have been among the most poorly run teams in professional sports over the past two decades, and that's compounded by the fact that he has a very owner-friendly stadium deal and seemingly little motivation to help improve it.

And just for fun, Taylor bought the Timberwolves in 1994 for $88.5 million, and Forbes now values the team at $720 million with $15.1 million in annual revenue. This still makes the Timberwolves 28th of 30 teams. Our friends over in similarly-sized Denver, with a merely mediocre team and slightly newer arena, are valued at $135 million more.

I appreciate that Glen Taylor bought the Star Tribune and has helped it become one of the most stable newspapers in the country, but after seeing the sorry state of the Target Center and remembering how little he is contributing to renovations, it's really driven in how terrible he's been as an owner.

Did you know they're making a Space Jam sequel? That might help.

Rookie of the Year 2 would be even better.

He willingly went along with the (illegal) Joe Smith deal. That in itself was disastrous.

Unfortunately he did what other owners do, he was just dumb enough to put it in writing...

Glad to see they're getting new seats. Hard to believe that the current ones are almost 20 years old. They are truly disgusting though!

The dark brown siding is starting to go up on the 2nd Ave side of the building. I tried to get a photo but the windows in the ABC ramps skyways are so filthy that it didn't work.

I will reserve judgment on the siding until more of it is up.

Went to a concert a few months ago and noticed them putting up some of the siding. Are they just putting it on top of the current siding? I figured they would gut the exterior and completely redo the exterior. Seems more like just putting on a new coat of paint.

That way we can take it off in 30 years to expose the historic facade. ;)

Do you actually think this is a sad day for postmod? If anything this was some of the ugliest, worst done post modern architecture that can be found.

Yeah. I do think it's a sad day when any decent style of architecture gets sterilized.
