Those are some pretty terrible pictures.
Not at all surprising to me, but may be surprising to some, that most of the tear downs are market initiated, rather than city initiated, which flies in the face of a lot of rhetoric and historical analogies made by some people.

That's true for these two recent quarters, but if you look at the full slate from 2011-2013, the City tore down hundreds of houses on the northside. Granted, much of that was tornado and foreclosure crisis related, but it is worth mentioning.

It makes me kind of sad that 3821 Washburn is being torn down (or maybe it already has). It's a nice looking Tudor. I'm surprised that's coming down.
