But you also have tax write offs with a mortgage. Not to mention building equity. As long as you're planning on staying around for about 7 years it's generally a good thing, unless you have Republicans running the show.

I'm not saying anything about the value of the investment, just that rent payments encompass a lot of different things, not just just the mortgage.

Looks like this one is getting started. I just walked by and there were jersey barriers on 31st.

It looks like this one has topped off. Has anyone seen any sales information regarding the condos?

Anyone have a photo for those of us not in the neighborhood? Curious how this turned out.

Wow, Grant is right, we need more photos on here.

Here is the full height building. I can see it from my walks on the far side of Lake Calhoun.

I Have to say, this building is turning out stunning. It's simple and refined, has great detail finishes and is clad in stone from the street to the roof. It's beveled Alabama silver shadow limestone with its grain laid horizontally. I'm actually really impressed that's a huge investment and it looks great.

Agree- looks great.

I'm still surprised that nothing regarding sales information has come forward. Wonder if they decided to go with apartments instead..

It may be sold out already - weren't they all in the 500,000 to 1,000,000 + range?

I took this on April 10, though it doesn't show much detail.

Looks like there's a name (De La Pointe) and a placeholder for the website:

I unexpectedly walked up to this a couple of weeks ago and it is definitely a stunner. I had completely forgotten about the project and happening by it was delightful. It's a great example of "less is more" and is a nice contrast to the mixed material jumbles elsewhere in the area. Pricey, I'm sure, but hopefully inspirational to other developers.

How great would a flatiron-type building clad in this be at the Arby's site?

You can pry Arby's Island from my cold dead fingers.
