I used to email my pics to myself and resize under 600x400 on my desktop computer. But I just discovered an app called Simple Resize. I make the pics longer wider than tall, then resize them in the app, then I can post to the forum. The best part is that the app saves the setting, so I just make sure my pics are cropped long and not tall (so they are under the 600x400) and it takes two seconds from now on to resize my new pics on my iPhone.

Install an imgur app, upload the picture, post the large thumbnail version.

With most cell phone cameras, you can change the photo quality to make a 600x800 (or smaller) quality image. You could take a high quality one for yourself and a smaller one to post... might be as easy as multiple apps and things...

They have put up metal siding on the upper part of the north end of the north building. Looks like a color sceme of dark grays (first floor), Light tans for the levels 2 and 3, build I'm not sure about the 4th unless it is a darker brown. The metal work is a medium tan. THis with a grey/white brick. They are now working on the brick work on the south side of the south building.

They have made a lot of progress this week. The stone is looking great. The cementboard, well...

I can't wait until all of these projects are done and we have a nice promenade along the Greenway. That's going to be really nice. I've walked around here a few times recently and noticed how much connectivity will be improved with that walkway.

One thing I've noticed as I've spent some time in Uptown a bit recently (friend moved in to Blue) is the quality/condition of the streets and sidewalks. The pics Nick posted kinda highlight the general 'crumbling' feel to them. In the winter and spring many sidewalks have pooled water (which is crappy in the winter when frozen and your choice is to stay on the icy sidewalk or the snowbank). Is there any chance the property tax boost from all these projects can be used more locally to improve the pedestrian, biking, and driving experience (in that order, IMHO)?

Just to build on the horrible nature of some roads in uptown, 29th might be the worst road i've ever biked on in the city or any city for that matter

The city is slowly replacing sidewalk panels in the area. I know because I paid the assessment. :)

I believe the southern Wedge is scheduled to have all its streets resurfaced in 2014. I don't know about the other neighborhoods.

That's not surprising since it was never paved. It's simply blacktop over a dirt road. My guess is it'll get a major upgrade once all the construction in done. Maybe after the Rainbow block is redeveloped?.

Yeah, looks like the area bounded by 26th, Lake, Hennepin, and Lyndale is going to be repaved next year:

I've saved that map to my computer by now, super handy.

They'd better not remove the wye tracks from Girard! :)

Actually, I'm pretty serious about that. Given the "art walk" at Mozaic, which will look even better with phase 2, Walkways and the pedestrian segment south of Lake, bringing out these tracks with some better landscaping along the same block could make for a very nice N/S pedestrian corridor in the heart of Uptown.

I'm not saying close that block to auto traffic, but just uncover the tracks during resurfacing, put in some greenery and fix up the sidewalks.

Then redevelop the McDonald's site. :)

Well that makes sense. Lets hope they do something, anything, to it sooner then later

Was told by a construction worker that they suffer some decent damage from the wind. Knocked down scaffolding and a possible 33 windows that will have to be replaced. Not sure about any roof damage.

Much of the construction barricades have come down on Bryant Ave. Especially by the North building. The glass entry between the two buildings now seems to have most of it's glass in place. There is a concrete sidewalk that is now been pours along this section also. We may see people moving into the north building by the end of August if not before.

Biked by last night, and there appeared to be at least a few units of the north building that were occupied already. Also, the north building is almost entirely cement board, which I thought was prohibited?

I've heard rumblings from some Midtown Lofts residents who aren't real impressed with how this project is looking. How much better do you think it will get when completed? I'm still holding out hope it will be at least presentable. (Apparently some of these neighbors threw a fit when the original design was shown for the apartment phase, though I don't see evidence of that design anywhere on this thread). PERSONALLY, I just want that damned bike ramp to re-open!

Also, I just got a call from the leasing office - the Greenway (South) building won't be occupying until Oct 1 now, which is one month later than planned.
