Must have found a tenant (tenants). We all now it should be more given its location, but it's good for what it is and has a strong street level presence at the intersection. Too bad about the environmental issues.

I think that they are digging up tanks right now. There was a large backhoe and a few men with shovels working on demolition today when I walked by.

This site is nearly clear as of this morning. Just a slab and some rubble.

Foundation work is done! I'd expect steel and walls after the holiday.

I was noticing that yesterday, and I was happy to see that the parking and driving areas were definitely far less noticeable than it is at Chipotle. From Hen it will def be more building, less asphalt.

The building may be about as good as it can be for 1-story commercial. Pretty sure that ten years from now, or even five years, there'd be enough commercial demand to fill a larger, higher building. And now that it's being build there's no going back. Lost opportunity IMO

There is now a huge banner that says 'AVAILABLE!' on the construction fencing. They must have pre-leased a bit to start construction, right?

This is at least a story and a half, and now that it's fleshing out feels really good to walk by. It's at least half has tall as the apartment building across the street, and makes the intersection feel really urban.

Hahaha, yeah, surprisingly not. I just remember how many times I had to walk by that damn gas station...

This is a picture I took about a week or so ago, it now has an additional 3-4 foot tall facade above the metal framing.

I noticed that even the addition of several feet gives it a stronger presence and feel as you go by it on the street. A similar occurence happened with the nearby Walker Library where they added height above the metal frame. Helps make both these one story buildings look a heck of a lot better in this dense urban neighborhood.

Not sure what that green stuff is, but much be some kind of water seal. Looks like it was sprayed on as there was signs of running as it dried. Still can't believe that they have not poured the floor of this building yet. Hope this is clad before winter rears it's ugly head.

It's not uncommon for the interior slabs to be poured very late in the construction process. It allows for more control, especially important when the slab may be a finished surface.

I noticed that there is glass on the lower levels of the full length windows. Also noticed that they are getting support up for hanging the multi-colored panels.

10-18 95+% of the windows are now in place on this building. I would expect by the next time I walk by that they will have started to add siding to the building. So far the building is looking very good. Will see what they use for siding before making the final judgment.

Is it surprising to those who know the market conditions that this is still "mystery retail"? Or do tenants just want to see the space before committing?
