Well the panels look like the stuff that would be used on furniture. Now they look ok. Better than I had thought they would. But I'm skeptical that it will weather well. I think that the building will look great if they use the same type and color of metal panels on the rest of the walls. Once I see what the rest of the materials are I'll know whether it will last or be a flash in the trendy pan!!

The rest of the dark siding is now going up on this building. The panels remind me of ebony stained barn lap board. Was on the opposite side of the street so I did not get a chance to see what the texture is like. But with the dark wood look, the orange wood panels really pop out at you. This will be an attractive addition to Hennepin. IMO

Siding looks complete on this building. There maybe some trim work, but it is an appealing building. Fits that corner nicely.

Do we know yet what the "mystery retail" will be?

Definitely anticipating what will go here! Understanding the site couldn't be utilized better, the building looks great. Thanks J. Snow and friends.

Walking by today I took a closer look at the building. They were working on putting up siding on the rear of the building today. Looking inside I still see dirt floors , which would say there must not be any real serious tenants at this point.

While that's probably true, I'm sure they're holding off pouring the floors in case the new tenants have any underfloor plumbing, etc. that's required. Pouring the actual concrete slab only takes a few hours.

A great addition, to be sure. There's just that little thing that it's still vacant... Anyone have news on potential lessees?

Is it odd that this is still a mystery?

Very. Especially with the drive-thru. You'd imagine a coffee shop would be all over that as soon as they could get out of their existing lease.

According to a retailer I talked with that is near by. They had potential prospects, but either due to the long build out or they wanted an arm and a leg for rent those fell thru. From what I understand the price they want for rent is more than most businesses can make work at this time.

So will that be the entire building? I don't really know how big 4,000 sq ft is.

Based on some very inaccurate Google Maps measuring: Yeah, the building looks to be somewhere around 4k.
