Maybe people who are filled to the gills with red meat don't want to be seen coming out of the restaurant?

When was the last time you tried to eat red meat in uptown(ish)? They have to save people from the hipsters some howMaybe people who are filled to the gills with red meat don't want to be seen coming out of the restaurant?

The addition (elevator/stair tower probably) on the north side is framed up in a really angular awesome way. cool surprise to see today. I was driving, got kind of a crappy picture of it I'll try to post later.

Looks like most of the main floor windows are now in.

I've decided I love the signs, and hate the interior. Classic 40s signage, boring 90s interior. Really? exposed brick and lazy HVAC install> so modern and lofty....bleh.
Q. What, what? A. In da butt.

Yeah... the lights in there look kind of cheesy, There are some really cool lights out there, and those globes look over played :/ More doesn't always mean better...I've decided I love the signs, and hate the interior. Went by this on the bus last evening with those lights on and I said to myself: " oh well, you can't have everything"! Otherwise, its a wonderful project.Yeah... the lights in there look kind of cheesy, There are some really cool lights out there, and those globes look over played :/ More doesn't always mean better...I've decided I love the signs, and hate the interior. Lights?
I'm POed they destroyed the 100+ year old dance floor- I wonder how they got by preservation laws-
There were multiple events / day, so revisionist claims dance floor was defunct are false.
I had so much fun there, and what made it all the more magical was imagining all the other people who had for the past century- Some who met, ended up a couple but always had fun ...

Re: Burch Pharmacy Building - (1934 Hennepin Avenue)
wait, if there isn't a hennepin and franklin entrance how do you get inside???
Re: Burch Pharmacy Building - (1934 Hennepin Avenue)
Well they have solid glass along hen and franklin, I guess they want people to come in where that 'B' is on Colfax.wait, if there isn't a hennepin and franklin entrance how do you get inside???
There appears to be another retail space on Hen that does have doors... I just don't get the lay out.

The Hennepin Entrance is a service entrance, its a hall of tenant doors.

Opening date announced!

Also, I had no idea downstairs was a pizza joint and the steakhouse was upstairs.

Re: Burch Pharmacy Building - (1934 Hennepin Avenue)
It's like they purposefully designed this to confuse people... The back door being the only entrance just doesn't make any sense...
Re: Burch Pharmacy Building - (1934 Hennepin Avenue)
I think that the door fronting Hennepin near the north end of the main building is the main entrance to the building/elevator, and there will be an entrance to the restaurant through that maybe?

Furniture is in and lights have been unwrapped. Looked like they had a huge service staff meeting today.
