I see that they have added a second crane to the east side of the central block. Looks like wall section are stacked on the floor so I would say that they will start erecting the first level of stick on that side of the block. Looks like all the floor trusses are in on the west so the 3rd level of stick should be starting next week too. At the rate they are moving I would hope that they have them both close to topped off by the end of the year. They are still working on the basement level of the north building so not sure they will even have the concrete first level done on that section by the end of the years. Not sure how big of a crew they will have.

Yuck. And with each new building uptown gets worse. Nothing against the buildings themselves, just the clientele they attract.

they're funny, and not dissimilar from ads you see incities/countries less prude than Minnesota.

They now have started stick construction on the east building of the central block. Looks like they are also getting ready to drive piles for the west section closest to Fremont. The Emerson side is pretty well dug out and looks like they have the trenches doe the foundation footing ready to get poured.

West side building now has a few 3rd floor walls of stick construction.

I'm sorry, but this has nothing to do with prudishness and everything to do with respect for women. The ads are abhorrent.

uh, he was totally complimenting her apartment...

in a world wanting no glass ceilings, and equal treatment: both parties of a sexual act are being equally as "slutty". Chances are in that situation she doesn't remember his name either. If they had said it from a woman's perspective she would have just seemed like a slut, not sexist... however coming from a man's perspective now you're saying it's sexist... that's a little wishy washy to me. The ads are playful and effective to their target audience.

Yeah, she brought him to her place. Young people have sex with each other, sometimes they just do it once and don't ever talk again, I don't think there's anything abhorrent about it.

I reeeaaaally don't want to get into this on a forum about development, but y'all are totally missing the point. People having random sex with each other is not the problem. I don't think anyone is arguing that. (If that is your argument, then that's an entirely different issue.) The problem is that the ad is basically saying, "That woman-shaped piece of meat I threw down with last night is totally not worth humanizing or remembering in any way, but boy, that piece of property sure was something." The ad is especially bothersome given the number of widely publicized incidents lately involving either: A. the local domestic abuse/ female-partner-in-a-relationship-being-murdered-for-leaving stories, or B. the national debate on rape culture we're having. Maybe these ads will be funny someday, but we're not there yet.

"Tbhat woman-shape that I threw down with last night is totally not worth humanizing or remembering in any way, but boy, that piece of property sure was something."

I bet that happens in reverse all the time.

" Yeah he had a really nice car and apartment!"
" so are you going to see him again?"
" hell no!, just wanted dinner drinks and d*** lololol"

so... manizing isnt a thing b

Most importantly, you all are talking about this place. In their eyes, that means their marketing is a success.

The biggest misconception about modern advertising is that it is designed to get you to buy the product. Not true. The immediate goal of most modern advertisements isn't to induce you to buy the product directly, but rather to raise brand awareness

The fact that you use the word "slut" reinforces my point.

Exactly. Thank you.

This ad will never be funny.
