I just want to offer some kudos to Yellow Tree for figuring out how to not rip up every mature tree that may even slightly inconvenience the construction process. I noticed that they managed to do the same thing at the Whitt as well. Not every developer in town seems to feel this need.
If they lease this up quickly, I’d bet we’ll see more projects like this on Stevens & 2nd (each side of 35W) where it’s a little cheaper to acquire houses (which tend to be in a little tougher shape than average). I don’t think this project would exist without cool stuff having moved to 35th & Nicollet over the past 5 years (Hola, Pat’s, thrift store, etc)
