G1S2 - you always have the pix! I was on campus and was going to snap the new tower on Washington but it is still a construction pit as of this past week. Thx
Re: Uptown Hotel Discussion
Didn't even realize that it was going up, let alone that it had passed approval. What was the final outcome regarding height?
Re: Uptown Hotel Discussion
If I remember correctly, it's gonna wind up being six stories.

Six stories with a step down to 5 on the southern side.
Apologies Grant! I was out and about and forgot to swing back and put my tweet in the forums.

Amazing that know one that lives around here has any updates of pictures...perhaps I'll have to drive and and contribute to the traffic situation in Uptown.

Took this Saturday. Almost done, looks like they're finishing up the exterior right now. I can see furnishing inside.

I keep being surprised to see it and excited how nicely it fills in the neighborhood.

Re: Uptown Hotel Discussion
I talked to the General Manager of the hotel last week. He said opening is scheduled for December 1, although there was a small chance that might be moved back slightly. Rooms can't be booked yet but I'd imagine that will change soon. Living close to the hotel, I'm looking forward to inviting friends and family to stay there. Most of the apartments around Uptown have an apartment or two set aside for guests but the rates are generally $100-150. My understanding is that Moxy will be around the $80-$100 per night and you can the convenience of staying in an actual hotel.
