can't be any worse than it currently is down there. That Red Line platform leaves much to be desired.

@thatchio - you are right about that. The whole transit station is disgusting. It will be nice to see what they do.

The new station will feature a separate bus entrance, more bus gates, no more bus/train interference, and a direct path to the interior of the mall. It should be really nice, and make the bus connections a lot more convenient.

What do you mean by direct path to the mall? Can you explain a little more?

There will be an access (stair/escalator/elevator) from the 1st floor east side (by the underwater adventures) to the new waiting area.

It's interesting how in the rendering of the new station everyone looks like they're going to a business meeting at MOA. It's almost as if designers use middle to upperclass persons in the renderings to make decision makers view their project more favorably. When in fact some of these projects will benefit primarily lower and middle class folks. What's wrong with spending millions on infrastructure to help lower class persons?

The people in renderings typically come from an online catalog -- sort of the equivalent of clip art. The selection in these catalogs tends to leave quite a bit to be desired, and tends to stray towards the corporate, but it's unlikely a deliberate decision by the people doing the renderings.

Yes, I completely agree more renderings of homeless passed out drunk in the waiting chairs.

Although... if the renderings actually were accurate and showed mostly low income then wouldn't we be outraged at it implying only poor people ride the bus? um.... It's impossible NOT to be outraged, and that is beyond outrageous! UGH!

How about a guy with an overstuffed and very Minnesotan jacket on a bench reading the newspaper and a teenager leaning over using their phone?

Thanks to whoever posted the video. I it gives me a much better idea of how it looks now versus how it will look.
