So, what exactly is the point of this thread? Is it just a snarky reaction to a bad news story about the garage break-ins?
If so, thanks, got it.

I am a big supporter of internal combustion lanes. It is frustrating when you see so many users of those lanes break the law.

All the road projects the gubmint keeps building has me worried a certain element could use those roads to get from Murderapolis to my nice community.

A driver who is blind in one eye and poor sight in the remaining one, hit two men and dragged one for a mile. Sentenced to 15+ years.

I think part of the crime is granting a man who is blind in one eye and poor sight in the remaining one a drivers license.

So, by that logic, if I blow a red light in my car and get T-boned in the intersection and I die as a result of the accident I cause, the other guy gets charged with vehicular homocide?
I'm all for jaywalking, if the pedestrian looks first and knows they can safely get to the other side of the street. The BS that always happens on Franklin Avenue, where people saunter in front of moving traffic, is a fish of an entirely different color. Obviously, they don't deserve to be hit, but it wouldn't bust me up too much if they got a ticket.

Approximately one in eight Minnesota drivers are on the road illegally and do not have driving privileges.

This cannot possibly be the best long-term strategy for reducing area-wide crime..

Drivers don't like it when you touch their paint jobs when the nearly drive over you.

Pedestrian beaten bloody, but driver and passengers arrested and charged. Bad choices all around.

Meh, it's the equivalent of a horn for a pedestrian. Except people who have real horns have the luxury of being inside a steel cage that will protect them much more from the stupidity of others.

I agree, I've slapped my fair share of cars that I dodged. But mostly in a way that makes it indistinguishable from them having ran into me.
