Looks like they are wrapping up the excavation on site - most of the site is down to bedrock.

Was just contacted by Lennar requesting a temp service for a tower crane. Sounds like this summer we will finally see some construction!

Drove by at 4:30 today and the big earth moving vehicles are gone... the lot is scraped down flat and at least 10 feet lower than it was a month ago. Looks like it is just waiting for the construction crew and the pile drivers....

I don't mind the name as far as generic names go, but simply calling it Nordeast Haus would have made it substantially less generic.

Yes, but this neighborhood is colloquially called Nordeast. So if you're going to use a generic German name, you could make it less generic by building upon the already-German neighborhood nickname.You guys realize that with the exception of that stupid symbol, this is just German for North House, right?
This is a huge missed opportunity for the city and makes my urge to move to Portland even stronger.
