Construction Webcams. What do you guys think of them? Do you wish more projects had them?

I personally like checking them out. I know there are tons of projects out there that should have one and many more that nobody would care to look at. I wish Nic on fifth still had one. It would have been a fun one to watch go up.

Here is the very limited number of current project cams i know about.

Knutson Construction (including the interchange) http://www.knutsonconstruction.com/projects/web_cams/

Loring Park Apartments http://www.ibeamsystems.com/private/loringpark/

New Vikings Stadium (Curently Not up but will be by 12/29) http://www.vikings.com/stadium/new-stadium/webcam.html

The Penfield http://oxblue.com/open/weis/thepenfield

Please add to the list if you know of any cams.

I love them, too. I check the Interchange multiple times a day and still miss Nic on Fifth's camera. Surly has one for their new brewery, but I don't have the link handy.

Found the Surly destination Brewery Cam with a quick google search. Thanks for the heads up on that one.

Will be nice to see more structural steel put in place to give a better perception of how tall and wide this project will be. Lots will change in the next few weeks and months as they race to get as much done before,"there he goes again about the weather" cold, snow, and ice make things more difficult.

Thought I would make the cams easier to find. Looks like the next piece is now in place and getting bolted together.

Thanks for the thread bump. It kind of seems like this one should be stickied.

Nope, just did a thread bump so it would not go to the second page. Lots of activity still going on out there. Wanted to make the search a bit easier.

Maybe this thread should be cleaned up (all cam links added to first post and everything else removed) and stickied.

Great idea!

Until then, though, I suppose this will function as a "bump."

I've proposed this before - answer was too many stickies already.

Although the thread may have been in the development forum at the time, since there aren't really any stickies here...
