Guys, I never thought I'd tell anyone this, but everyone else sharing their dark secrets has inspired me to come clean: I voted for Meg Tuthill.

Not sure how well the sarcasm came through on that last one, so I feel like I need clarify that I was joking.

On that note, I was a Lisa Bender supporter, but I never quite understood the intense dislike of Meg Tuthill. Sure, she wasn't quite on the same page as most of us but a lot of the time it seemed like overkill. I hope I never leave a snappy voicemail and have hundreds of people rag on me for it.

Also:
To swing the pendulum into total railfan territory, I want to have a lot of small rooms, I want to renovate one of the rooms into a part of a passenger rail car. So maybe something like a pair of turn of the century era first class seats facing each other in their own private cabin, etc etc.

Oh, and I've been the one running around ruining new apartment buildings with cement board..

I have been known to use the phrase "car sewer" in conversations with strangers, friends, and family.

I put just over $50 of premium fuel in my car today.

Granted, it will last me around 2 months, maybe more if it warms up enough to bike everywhere.

I dislike the word carsewer. I've always favored SWLRT 3A. I didn't ride a city bus in Minneapolis until I was 22. I passive aggressively roll my eyes at people who fumble for change at the fare box. I grew up in Anoka County. I used to love golf. My favorite place for a bike ride is in the suburbs.

I bought a house that was recently converted from a duplex to a SFH. I was not aware until Comcast asked what unit I was calling about.

1. I quite like the skyways. (Not really a confession, I've been pretty vocal about it here.)

2. I drive from my apartment, at (15th and 8th in Dinkytown), to church (by the Marshall) sometimes. It's 4 blocks, I don't even have the excuse of carrying groceries, hell, factoring in the time it takes to extricate my car from the overly tight parking lot it probably doesn't even save any time. There's really no excuse.

I own a SFH, and two cars, and my bicycle has flat tires.

I want a new tallest building. (one that we don't have to argue about being the tallest)

I've often found myself losing all hope in Minneapolis ever being a truly dense, urban, metropolis but also can't bring myself to move away.

It's a nice sunny day out, so I'm going to drive my car the half mile to the coffee shop so I can smoke a cigarette instead of biking and spend $3 on a cup of coffee when I could just as easily make it home.

I very much want to continue living in Minneapolis (or St. Paul) beyond my renting years, but the idea of buying a 75-110 year old house terrifies me.

They are generally built far better than new homes. Aim for 1920-1950.

…and remember to replace the old windows, siding, roofing, insulation, furnace and water heater with better quality, more efficient, lower maintenance new stuff.
