That is a good guess, but I think the city's plan is to use that space for a park to connect to the river if the ramp is ever torn down.
And I don't think that the lot necessarily has to be in Frey's ward. He seems to be the most involved with developers, so it could really be anywhere downtown.
Thanks for the info, Grant!!!

Re: Duval Development
Maybe they want to knock down the Gateway ramp and build there? Or maybe the Thrivent lot - since we know they've been eager to build there. No idea, just spitballing and dreaming.

I'd bet that's many of our dreams -- to be able to help shape how Minneapolis-St. Paul is built and continues to grow. It's certainly mine!Yeah I get that. I guess I have more faith in him because he put all this work in to line up Perkins + Will and Thornton Thomasetti to create a very elegant tower to try to change the skyline. From what I took from his LinkedIn, I think he grew up in Minneapolis because it has Blake High School as one of his groups. He went to Harvard for architecture and then worked with Portman Associates on some major developments in China, Korea, Singapore, and the US. I think he's just a man who wants to make a good tower in a great city.
