The other day, my roommate asked me which building in Minneapolis is my favorite. I realized that this is an incredibly difficult question, and I am still unsure what my answer is.
In the meantime, I thought I should pose the question to all of you! Which building in Minneapolis or St. Paul is your favorite, and why?

Re: Favorite Buildings
Modern = Wells Fargo - modern but also incorporates previous style without being derivative
Historic = Foshay - unique and I think it's current use as a trendy hotel with top floor bar is awesome
Odd Ball = Minneapolis Armory - so much potential. Right now it's a f***** parking lot

For me in MPLS:
Modern = IDS/Crystal Court, with the Wells Fargo second
Historic = Rand Tower, with International Market Square second
Oddball = The Wiesmann Museum,
In St. Paul:
Modern = Wells Fargo
Historic = The Ramsey County Court House
Collection = The Lower Town Neighborhood

For me, it's Northland Plaza in Bloomington:

I love the way the building reflects onto itself as you drive by on France Ave. Your senses loose track of which lines, panels, and shadows are real and which are just reflections.

So hard to say, as that seems to change.
Landmark Center - It is as if St Paul has it's own magical Disneyland castle, save for the fact that hardened criminals were tried here. SPUD and the Cathedral are close runners-up.
Rand Tower - I love all the details and it's stepped-back appearance. The Foshay is a close runner-up.
