Anyone else see the NIMBY rant article in City Pages?

This article came across my feed today about the 'Gentrification and Slumification' of the city and man it rubbed me wrong:

This whole things just drips of whining and vitriol about the young people with their 'moral superiority' who are changing the city. Good grief

It seemed like there were some valid points in the core, maybe, but that it went off the rails quickly.

I noted that the author referred to "the suburbs where [they] grew up", which would indicate that they aren't originally from the city themselves, but made a deliberate decision to live there at one point. So it's ironic that they're complaining about people doing the same thing now.
