Looking at this photo makes me wish that Minneapolis had diagonal street going from Calhoun to the Mississippi NW of Downtown. It's not technically that far, but so much in the way.

Indeed. It was originally a footpath between two important sites to Native Americans: the falls and Bde Maka Ska.
