It's definitely open.
Re: Downtown Minneapolis Restaurant News
Good. Weird. Maybe just a staff meeting or something. Sorry, carry on!
Re: Downtown Minneapolis Restaurant News
So, uh, the Blarney is opening its second location at 903 Washington. Will be open by the time the Vikes are playing.
East Town, meet Dinkytown.

Huh. That makes sense, as that part of Washington is pretty light on bars, but... that's not the building I would have expected such a bar to go into.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Restaurant News
If you look at Google Maps it seems as if there is an empty retail bay on the east side of the building.

I wonder if they'll use an electronic ID scanner at the door when checking IDs!

Saw signs up for Mercury Dining Room and Rail - now hiring for all positions. Windows were wide open to the Foreign Legion space as well and it looked like they were clearing out all of the furniture.

Was looking for a Serving job today and came across an ad for Gordon Biersch (a chain brew pub not unlike rock bottom) listed for 800 LaSalle

Gordon Biersch and Rock Bottom have the same parent company (and they also own Old Chicago) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CraftWork ... _Breweries
If I had to guess based on the available information, our Rock Bottom is being re-branded as a Gordon Biersch. That or someone at corporate put the wrong name on the Craigslist posting.

Always seemed packed, and an excellent location? Assuming they get royally soaked on rent.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Restaurant News
The article states that they've been struggling nationally, and that this location was one of their top performing locations. So it has nothing to do with Crystal Court.Always seemed packed, and an excellent location? Assuming they get royally soaked on rent.
