Finally have an apartment proposal for the American Legion site at 36th St and Xenwood. The Elmwood is 5-6 floors, 70-86 units senior apartments, 4400 sq ft office / commercial.

Nice catch. This could be slid over to the Wooddale Staton Area thread too...

Parkway Pizza moving into the Beek"s space on Mtka Blvd and Dakota.
Across the street, the sign is up for the Super America and their finishing up the canopy. It looks to be opening very soon.

Never heard of Parkway Pizza, and never tried Beek's.....does anybody know if this is an upgrade or downgrade? We recently moved to the area and I drive by this site every day, but have never tried it.

I live down the street and the last time I went to Beeks a few years ago it was not a very good pizza at all. Parkway pizza has definitely got to be an upgrade and I certainly hope they fixed up the inside so that it doesn't look 4 decades old.

I'm a fan of parkway pizza, they Longfellow location delivers to me. It's not "fancy" like Pizza Luce with their fancy ingredients but it's still good. It's unsophisticated but good.

Good....I don't want "fancy" pizza. And I tend to like those pizza dives that are like stepping back in time to a time before I was born.

Parkway Pizza has been my family's go-to pizza delivery for 5+ years. It's not fancy but it's not divey. It's very high quality. Get an artichoke deluxe and add their homemade sausage. It will set you back $25 after tip, but it's so worth it.

You know how Minnesotans love press that gushes about the state, well this is like that but for St. Louis Park. Image

Hits many of the traditional points of pride civic boosters in the city trumpet.

The new Saint Louis Park outdoor skating rink has proven wildly popular drawing teams from far away requesting game time against local teams to get a chance to play a game of hockey outdoors on a high quality outdoor rink.

The home furnishings businesses that have clustered along Excelsior Blvd came together and came up with a district name.

"Design District on Excelsior Blvd."

Vescio's is toast. Valu Stay, you are on deck, or "on the clock".

Here is the scene. Shoreham apartments (148 units) almost done. Next door, Vescio's restaurant is gone and Valustay Inn is next, to make way for the Parkway 25 apartments (112 units) and retail.

The vacated former-TCF to be torn down and be replaced by a Chick-fil-A.

Huge Nextdoor outrage came up from this. Almost about as much feisty posting as the average upzoning for affordable apartments.

Granite City closing SLP restaurant.

Seems negotiating the lease didn't go well.

I would love to see a little higher quality brewpub move into the space. Never that big of a fan of Granite City so I'm not really going to miss it.
