#SAINTPAULSTRONGI surely agree with the need for more parking. And I love the idea of Walgreen's being on the skyways. I also see new jobs in parking attendants and security.

OH! I really like that proposal, even if it's just a dream.

Tria is opening a sports medicine facility in the updated Macy's building, making this essentially the same concept as what the Timberwolves and Mayo Clinic did in Minneapolis.

Treasure Island is now the title sponsor of Wabasha Center:

So, that will replace Bldg. Name?
Edit. OMG no. It's like someone is in Sketchup planning signage without any idea for scale.

That's the kind of piss-poor attitude that will get you eaten by a giant toucan, Matt.

The brick facade is gone and it's down to the bones at 'Treasure Island Center'. This view is from the Wabasha side.

Gee, wouldn't it be great if we could do this with City Center?
Re: Wabasha Center (Former Macy's) - Downtown St. Paul
OK - I just posted that I didn't want to rip down the Target Center exterior... But in the case of City Center... I have wished that building would be resurfaced since I worked in it in the mid 1990's... I think that it is not even really architecture... The pebbled concrete exterior is akin the cottage cheese ceiling texture.Gee, wouldn't it be great if we could do this with City Center?

Per an email I just got, Stacked Deck Brewing (http://www.stackeddeckbrewing.com/) will be a tenant here starting this fall. 10K square feet total. 3,200 square feet for taproom space.

Will they do anything to the Cedar side? I haven't seen any work over there, and the drawings are all of the "Wabasha Center" side. Cedar's a little sad along that block.

The best thing that could happen would be some sort of re-opening of 7th Place across the Wabasha Center-World Trade Center superblock and the Town Square superblock. Because yeah, it seems like it takes a fire drill to get people out on the street east of Wabasha.

Would it be any more than a tunnel? That would be great if it were an open air pedestrian street, but it would be hard to match the architectural appeal of the current 7th place. The best thing that could happen would be some sort of re-opening of 7th Place across the Wabasha Center-World Trade Center superblock and the Town Square superblock. Ha, nice find! Curb & sidewalk literally crumbling beneath their feet too...what a sorry state for our public realm.Because yeah, it seems like it takes a fire drill to get people out on the street east of Wabasha.
