They posted the $100,000.

Perhaps Alatus should propose an urban poultry farm? A new concept, about 10 stories of fowl. There would be fresh eggs and chicken available everyday to the neighborhood. All jesting aside, there are worst things to have nearby than this proposal. I live in South Minneapolis and smell the foundry and asphalt plant all the time.

Ask the developer who punched a hole in the Terrace Theater before the judge arrived with the stay. They seem to have gotten off consequence free.Wonder what the consequences of just tearing it down is.

Re: 200 Central - Alatus Tower (Washburn-McReavy Site) 483' / 40 Stories
Anyone know the next steps or potential timelines in this case?
Re: 200 Central - Alatus Tower (Washburn-McReavy Site) 483' / 40 Stories
I think we won't hear anything major until the end of summer... based on the timing...

News: the appellate court has remanded the amount of the bond back to the district court (Moreno) because it appears not to adequately protect the economic interests of the respondents (developer and city). So the amount of the bond may very well be set above $100,000. The city and the developer are asking for a combined total of $5.9 million.
Respondent request to expedite the appeal is denied because they can adequately file their stuff within a speedy timeframe.

I'm having trouble parsing this sentence. The request was denied because it'll be a quick process anyway?Respondent request to expedite the appeal is denied because they can adequately file their stuff within a speedy timeframe.

Update: things are not going well with NEBL in the court system so today they filed with the Minnesota Supreme Court.
By the time this is done they are going to have no money left. So we can rest assured they are not going to fight every new building that goes up in the neighborhood anymore.

Maybe we just need someone to propose supertall buildings to waste all the NIMBY legal money so proposals that aren't an issue can proceed without delay.
I think I found a use for Duval after all.

Maybe some of us YIMBYs could file a friend of the court brief in favor of the respondent.
Re: 200 Central - Alatus Tower (Washburn-McReavy Site) 483' / 40 Stories
So, who wants to bet that they appeal to the Supreme Court?

So barring an appeal they can go ahead? Was there anything else in the way?
