Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board
Re: Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board
All of that looks good to me.
Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board
That bridge has significant conflicts between cyclists and pedestrians since the pedestrian area is about one person wide. Bikes come down the hill pretty fast from the south and the north end is pretty blind. I see these improvements the most important out of them.If any of these had to be dropped for budget considerations, I don't think the improvements at "Area I" are that critical. A "nice to have", sure, but some of the ped-bike (and bike-bike) conflicts there could be improved with some striping alterations and signs asking people to slow down / yield. There is zero potential for conflicts with cars in this location, so to me it just doesn't rise to the level of importance of the other projects.

Late amendment to preserve parking on The Mall despite the 2020 plan to focus of the park space being park space.

The movement to hand over parkland for 24 hour residents parking making a stealth attack.
