LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)

I'm curious as to the green panels, it that the finish that they are using or is that a last layer of insulation before they put up the final exterior? FYI, I don't mind that bright green.
Re: LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)
LOL too funny. Also drove by today and noticed the big blank wall in back. I didn't pay enough attention to the renderings to see that, guess it's just there for if/when the next high-rise is build next door? #WishfulThinkingAwesome shots. We may have been there at the same time.Taken today:

Re: LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)
The final finish is a lightish gray aluminum paneling. The crown is not going to be frosted glass as I thought, but rather the same gray aluminum paneling. I was also told by the LPM people at the IDS center they are planning a restaurant at 14th and Lasalle, but nothing firm yet.I'm curious as to the green panels, it that the finish that they are using or is that a last layer of insulation before they put up the final exterior? They are seriously going to leave that hideous concrete block wall that is the first thing you see as you approach the building coming from downtown? That's horrid.LOL too funny. Re: LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)
somebody should do a mural. If there was ever a perfect spot for one, it is this wall
but this is a luxury building, so I doubt it...

Re: LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)
Basically the wall is the north side of the building so a green wall would be very difficult. I think that the developers are looking at the SA/strip mall to get redeveloped in the next few years. They are not going to spend money on an area that will be blocked when other building are in front of it.

Website is up with floor plans and pricing:
http://www.rentlpm.com
If I'm going to be honest those prices are 80% of the cost of equivalent apartments in NYC.
Come on now!!!

If by equivalent you mean far from Manhattan, then you may have a point. I would say this is a great neighborhood near the CBD. Much less to rent in Minneapolis than NYC.Website is up with floor plans and pricing:

Re: LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)
so this is more green/turqoise than I thought it would be. i was thinking a clean blue glass tower or did something change from the renderings? i like the building overall but the is color choice is questionable. late 80's nicollet mall rehab looking. we know that turned out. dated.
Re: LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)
I am still wondering if the insulation will be covered with glass panels, or white maybe? Anyway, only thing I don't like about this one is how huge the mechanical penthouse shows up on top. I was hoping it would be shielded more. Oh well.

I think John mentioned it would be covered in silver metal paneling, as well as the crown. pet the agent at the leasing kioskI am still wondering if the insulation will be covered with glass panels, or white maybe? Manhattan avg. rental $/sqft: $4.275If I'm going to be honest those prices are 80% of the cost of equivalent apartments in NYC.
Come on now!!!
Brooklyn avg. rental $/sqft: $3.838
LPM Apartments rental $/sqft: $2.39
(source: http://www.elliman.com/pdf/e2bc1133fc28 ... 5e8962622b)
So, about 63% the price of average Brooklyn apartments, 56% of Manhattan, not even focusing on the nicer areas, and then you must consider that most of the rentals in NY have no laundry, hideous old kitchens, no elevator, no parking, no view, and certainly no fitness center or amenities.
A comparison to Chicago might be more apt, I don't have the data handy for that.
Re: LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)
the silver metal paneling is going up in bands around every floor and between a bunch of the windows. it looks nice and finished.
Re: LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)
The teal/aqua color on this project seems different than what was on the renderings before it was built. It looks a little corny to me... like it should be in Miami.
Re: LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)
What you're seeing is not the finished product. It's a peel-and-stick waterproof membrane.

The teal areas, just to be clear.
