Re: Mayo Clinic Square (formerly Block E)
Shout House is leaving Block e=MC^2, relocating to the Wyman building (400 1st Ave N).
Somewhat ironically, Shout House is moving right next door to the space that was recently occupied by their short-lived competitor "Howl at the Moon". I don't think that place stayed open more than a year: http://www.startribune.com/entertainmen ... UgAg3KI.97
Looks like Shout House is taking over the former Envy nightclub space.

So the only remaining tenants are Kieran's and Jimmy John's?

Expected, I believe Shout House's moving was announced as part of the plan with Mayo Clinic Square. Or at least alluded to.Shout House is leaving Block e=MC^2, relocating to the Wyman building (400 1st Ave N).

Re: Mayo Clinic Square (formerly Block E)
Was it? The plans I saw showed the Shout House remaining on the first floor, albeit in a slightly different location.

I think they're actually taking over the former Epic event space... right next to Cowboy Jack's. The former Envy space is offices now.Looks like Shout House is taking over the former Envy nightclub space.

Re: Mayo Clinic Square (formerly Block E)
Not that I care much, but I've been to a few shows and Epic, and even a few weeks ago I saw crowds waiting to get in on a Friday night, what happened with it?

They've had a lot of high profile shootings - not sure if that has anything to do with it.
DYK Epic / Quest was originally Glam Slam, founded by Prince in 1989.

Hopefully shout will end the cycle of gunfire in that space!

Re: Mayo Clinic Square (formerly Block E)
I am really starting to notice changes to how this opens up!!! There are many very large sections that have been opened up to the outside world. I think this renovation will make it almost unrecognizable.

Some quick photos from the bus today.
The North side is where I really notice the openings:

They took down the video board on Hennepin & 7th recently. You can also see some of the new finishing:

Here is one of many signs showing the partners:

Nice article on the upgrade of the Loews Hotel. Chairman Jonathan Tisch is "bullish" on Minneapolis.
“The bones of this property are very good,” Tisch said. “With some well-spent additional capital, an upgrade will really reinforce its position as one of the finest hotels in Minneapolis.”
The lobby, meeting rooms, ballroom, corridors and guest rooms will all be updated, he said. The popular Cosmos restaurant will remain.
