When two ego maniacs meet head-on...Yes, but did Greg Brick ever actually get to the cave or just plagiarize it?

Thanks to M B P for the renderings of all of these buildings I was able to clump all of them together into a map and screenshot it. I don't know why 4marq is so dark ad I adjusted the colors on Nic on Fifth

^The windows, on both the Xcel HQ and 4marq, seem to have gotten grayed out.
The windows were painted with a pattern. Sometimes, when loading models into google earth, a pattern will show up as just being gray. In that case, delete the model, in google earth (left side), and reload it.
Doing other things, on your computer, while loading the models, in google earth, can cause the grayed out pattern problem.
**I just remembered that I painted not only the windows on 4marq with a pattern (reflective glass), I also painted the actual structure with a pattern (aluminum). That's why the entire building looks gray.

The first crane is going up now at this site.

Can't help but think this may turn out to be quite a cool looking building with the exoskeleton grid pattern of the exterior. Will look great gazing down Marquette as part of the urban canyon effect.

From Labor Day. They're definitely keeping some of that old foundation (tough to see in the background. click to see bigger). I can't help but hope that it stays visible when the lower levels are done. How cool.

I thought that there would be some kind of basement structure in this building. But from what I saw today, it looks like that will just be area for the elevator core and stairwells. As narrow as that site is , it will be interesting to see the parking ramp layout as there is really not a lot of space for parking and road way to get around the ramp.
Still would like to see more info on this building. Was there ever any spec to the city that we can get a hold of to see the specifics?

Q. What, what? A. In da butt.
Re: 4Marq - (313' - 30 Stories)
Is that eighth floor patio area accessible to the residents on that floor (only)? Or is it just to fill space above the excess parking structure square footage?

Its getting paving and a glass railing. I'll let you be the judge

Is there a reason it's not labeled on the document? Why aren't there dividers? Why aren't the units adjacent to it larger (read: more luxurious)? Something fishy about this. Its getting paving and a glass railing. I'll let you be the judge

I have never seen this method before. I really looks like the beams are just balanced there, someone want to shed some light?

They sure did. Go look at the east tower on 8/10 and you'll see a bunch of steel beams sitting on top of the elevator shaft base.
