We're going a bit cat crazy in our apartment.

I wish I had more room for them to run around, given it's three cats in about 640 sq feet. But my unit has about two feet of clearance between the top of the walls and the ceiling (something about natural light...) and I set up some shelves to give them access to that. On top of that, I've got a decent climbing tower and some window spots set up.

I've never tried to make pets happy in a small space before, but holy crap it's worked well. They honestly seem much more happy now, with more vertical space, than they were in my bigger Indy apartment with over 1000 sq feet.

Mine like to run from room to room, particularly in the middle of the night :-/. We are in an 1100 sq ft 2 bedroom so it's not an issue now. Plan for the Fall when my car lease is up is to move either into a studio downtown or to Chicago if I can make that work (also likely a studio). Granted it would now be just myself and the cats again, we've never been in one room, all the time before. I'm a little worried they are going to drive me nuts.

The apartment we were in before this was only about 550 sq ft, but it had a bedroom with a real door so I could lock them out.

There's available space at 38th and 23rd Ave (formally Social Dance). My wife would probably lose her mind if they opened so close to us.
