I have not heard that. Nothing on the East Side FB group that I could find, either.

I take that back, I've now heard this rumor in person from somebody, but I don't have any more info.

The Pioneer Press is reporting that Mac's Fish and Chips has closed their location on Snelling. No details on the reason, but the article notes that the location had been open for two and a half years... and somehow, I never got around to stopping in!

I saw there was something about a liquor license for a new establishment going into the old Ward 6 space in the latest city council meeting. It’s called “East side bar”. Anyone know anything about it?

Same owner. I don't know if they're going to keep the Ward 6 name, but I think the menu will different. The wood floor has been refurbished and apparently the basement was redone.

The Pizza Hut near Grand and lexington apparently closed. Not sure if it's temporary or permanent.

When a brewery owner wanted to amend a zoning regulation to allow wine-only shops in closer proximity to other liquor stores than is currently allowed, an extremely St. Paul thing happened:

The statement makes this closing sound pretty isolated and permanent, but in theory a move up the road to the area around Allianz Field would make a lot of sense. That Snelling location was always kind of random.

Doesn't the Pivot still have a large leasable commercial space at ground level? Honestly, that would be a pretty good spot for them to move.

Word on the street is that Zamboni's Pizza, which is already in the same building, plans to move into the Eagle Street space before the end of the year.
