The first few floors are supposed to open August 31 for residents, so I would assume the skyway will reopen by then.

Another possibility is that the square windows would go better with the more modern building next door.

Wow!! That is going to look awesome with that lighting scheme. Better than any new construction would look for a building that size.

Looks nice. I realize it is pretty standard with architctural photography to correct the perspective to make vertical lines actually vertical (I do it a lot with my photos), this is an example where it is overdone. Just my opinion, but it is rwally distorted... I was actually contacted by Village Green about selling a photo of Mill Ruins Park that I had on flickr to use in their promotional materials, but at the last minute the decided they didn't need it...

it's just nice that it will look "open" into the evening, and the bright simple awnings are lively too!

That rendering looks fantastic. Good to see a pre WWII building live on.

I wonder how they will finish the area around the window arches? Originally it was carved granite, but I imagine it would be difficult to match the existing stone and level of detail. I really enjoy going by this building and checking out the recent progress. It's a beautiful old building and a very exciting project.

Lord, what is a 'sexy bath'.
Does it mean a bathroom with a great tub and shower to have sex in? ;)

Or a bath that makes you sexy? Cause I'd totally pay that rent then...

All this sexy bathroom talk makes me wonder which way their "curved shower rod" curves. :P

Ok guys, this is getting completely out of hand.

How come no one has mentioned the "multiple deep drawer storage"?

Wow. $1700+ per month before you can even get a sleeping area with a window...

I was thinking this was actually a little more affordable than some other new projects, isn't it? The one bedrooms start at $1400 for decent-sized units in a very central location with brand new finishes/appliances/laundry in the units. That's not exactly the attorney price range--a young couple could live here fairly easily while working decent jobs.

If I was a young couple... I wouldn't need the sexy bath. But yes, for two, that's reasonable.

Prices are not outrageous, but it's still more than most of the new rental developments along Washington.

That being said, I'd rather live in this building which has a lot more class, better location a great amenities. It's certainnly the "it" place to rent in or near downtown Minneapolis.
