I seem to remember someone else trying to build a planned community in Florida. Maybe this will eventually become a theme park too.

Don't know how many people here are keeping track on Virgin Trains USA (brightline) but apparently they just started construction on the Orlando leg a day or two ago.

Not sure if this is uncommon for a big project or not but I'm a little surprised they split the project up and having different companies work on different areas instead of choosing just one. I've seen some people speculate that there doing this to try and speed up construction albeit at a higher price (iirc the leg had a $2-3 bill price tag a year or two ago), but I haven't seen anything to support or deny that claim.
