More people, but still a fraction of potential voters. In a one party town with RCV, there's just no reason to let a few hundred people (who are likely not representative of the overall electorate) try to dictate who appears on the ballot.

Conventions don't dictate who appears on the ballot, they dictate who gets party endorsement. Candidates ignore the endorsement outcome all the time but literally always seek it, so clearly they see value in spending their time doing so.

Anywhere from several thousand to tens of thousands of people caucus in Minneapolis each year. Suggestion: become one of the "few hundred people" at a convention instead of complaining about someone other than you doing the work. If you can't become one of those few hundred people - yes there are any number of good reasons why it's not tenable for someone to attend a convention - send your neighbor who most closely represents your values to represent you on your behalf. That's literally what the caucus does.

Master parliamentarian Josh Martin and I were on the Wedge LIVE podcast yesterday to recap everything that happened at Ward 10. It's the most complete accounting of the event you will find out there. I didn't explicitly say this but I have suspicions that Basim Sabri is behind the Warsame campaign generally and some of his people conspired with the Warsame campaign to cause the mayhem.
