I'm fine with parking in the basement. But they're putting parking on the street level.

The elevator penthouse is huge. It really truly ruins the facade.

What, you mean this clearly noticeable (green) aspect of a building in the background? https://app.oxblue.com/open/ka/blockredev

It sure stands out when it's green.

Yes, the green box. It blocks the signature window and arch of the roof from many angles. Even when it's tan it's going to look terrible.

Armory up for designation as a local landmark.

It looks like this will be open before the end of the year. The article mentions a restaurant is being built in the building too.

Yes, looking forward to it. Our Wisconsin alumni group is utilizing the Armory for our pregame tailgate/pep rally in late November for the Badger/Gopher game.

Every time a think about those two levels of parking directly below a large concert venue, I think to myself "Isn't that a huge potential security risk?".

Maybe, but at the same time, probably no more than the 2-3 levels of parking beneath every office tower.

No more than running oil trains underneath Target Field.

I would hope they'll be some extra security at least for the Super Bowl at the Amory.

If it's anything like the ASG a few years ago, they'll have a secure perimeter for vehicles with checkpoints.

Sound in Motion (a local compay that puts on Electronic music shows) had a show at the Armory a few weeks ago, and they posted a video of the show, might be interesting if you're curious what a production looks like inside the Armory. They must really like it as a venue because they've booked a ton of acts there next year

The acoustics in the space are excellent. It's very 'dead'
