Don't think I ever got around to making that oneTotally agree. Does Mister.Shoes have a fantasy map where this STROAD is converted into a two way street? I don't know how they'd convert it with the way the Hennepin bridge is aligned.Wide one-way streets are really awful at moving traffic, unless stoplights are spaced half mile or more. The street capacity is simultaneously overused (when you have 3+ lanes queuing at a red light) and underused (when you have open stretches encouraging 40 MPH traffic).

The problem with being an introvert online is that no one knows you're just hanging out and listening.

I have a few ... in my mind and drawn on paper/gmaps ... if mister.shoes is interested in collaborating.

The Hennepin bridge could work with the addition of a stoplight on the island. I want all that excessive ROW back on the tax rolls anyhow.

The height on this should say 208.

Put on the 4th floor today. Activity is very heavy on all sides. Nye's crane is left center.

And a shoutout to the streetlight nerds out there
, there is a fascinating old model right on 1st and the old 4th St ROW currently over the construction trailers. Get out and get a photo before they disappear.monte, matt, et al

Almost half way up. I froze my "censored" off to take this photo but when I saw the light I had to walk over.

Are the tower floors shorter?

Re: Nord Haus - 315 1st Ave NE (208' - 20 Stories)
No, it's just a angle of the camera. If Matt were to walk right over to the US Bank they would look taller.
Re: Nord Haus - 315 1st Ave NE (208' - 20 Stories)
The thinness of post-tensioned concrete slabs vs. wood truss floors could be driving that.
Re: Nord Haus - 315 1st Ave NE (208' - 20 Stories)
Yeah, so per the plans the tower floors are each 6" shorter than the low-rise floors. But I'm sure the angle is also deceptive.

Eye balling it up close, you can't really see a big difference. Damn, 6" from being somewhat right though.

These are the last plans I had seen....you can see the difference in floor heights and overall elevation.
